Liga MX Week 4 Review

Puebla 1-1 Tijuana

Thoughts-Puebla was the better team, but, bad teams struggle alot and thats what happened both teams split the points and both have tougher games next week with Puebla going to Guadalajara and Tijuana hosting Santos

Up Next- Saturday, Chivas vs Puebla 10pm and Friday, Tijuana vs Santos 10pm

Atlas 0-1 America

Thoughts-Atlas had a PK stopped in the early part of the 2nd half, then America scored on a PK in the 92nd minute to take all 3 points back to Mexico City, now Atlas faces one of the other 2 Mexico City teams in Cruz Azul, while America faces Lobos who are a surprise team.

Up Next-Saturday, Cruz Azul vs Atlas 6pm and Saturday, BUAP vs America 6pm

Cruz Azul 0-0 Toluca

Thoughts-Both teams split the points which is decent for both teams, but, I think Cruz Azul would have liked to get all the points, Toluca goes back home with a point in a tough place to play,Toluca is lucky as they have zero shots on goal and 2 overall, Cruz Azul was the better team, next weekend Cruz Azul hosts a good Atlas team while Toluca hosts an upstart Necaxa team Sunday.

Up Next-Saturday, Cruz Azul vs Atlas 6pm and Sunday, Toluca vs Necaxa 1pm

Queretaro 2-1 Morelia

Thoughts-Queretaro got the points they needed, they beat a Morelia team which is not a good team (lower level table but, not, relegation bound), they were down 1-0 but, scored 2 goals in the 2nd half to win. Morelia hosts a good Pachuca team and Queretaro goes to Veracruz who is struggling.

Up Next- Saturday, Veracruz vs Queretaro 8pm  and Friday, Morelia vs Pachuca 8pm

Monterrey 4-1 Chivas

Thoughts-Statement game for the Rayados, down 1-0 scored a goal barely after the Chivas did and dominated the 2nd half, next week they head to Leon and hopefully no let down while Chivas hosts a weak Puebla team.

Up Next-Saturday, Leon vs Monterrey 806pm and Saturday, Chivas vs Puebla 10pm

Pachuca 2-1 Tigres

Thoughts-Just like above a statement win for Pachuca over a good Tigres team who I wonder if they were over hyped, after winning 5-1 against Puebla, they drew 1-1 against Santos and Queretaro and now lose here. Tigres host Pumas in a good one and Pachuca has a winnable game at Morelia.

Up Next- Friday, Morelia vs Pachuca 8pm and Saturday, Tigres vs Pumas 8pm

Necaxa 0-3 Leon

Thoughts- This was a surprise, Leon who was struggling played their best game of the season dominating Necaxa at Aquacaliente (Necaxa’s home city), and got the points

Up Next- Sunday, Toluca vs Necaxa 1pm   and Saturday, Leon vs Monterrey 806pm

Pumas Lobos 2-0 BUAP

Thoughts-Pumas got the points at home, their defense was very good as expected and they were able to get enough to get the win. Lobos now have their toughest game as they host America next Saturday while Pumas play at Tigres which will not be easy.

Up Next-Saturday, Tigres vs Pumas 8pm and Saturday, BUAP vs America 6pm

Santos 2-3 Veracruz

Thoughts-Surprise of the weekend as Veracruz went into Torreon and stole all 3 points from what was supposed to be a good Santos team, Veracruz now heads home to face Queretaro who are beatable and Santos faces Tijuana who are never easy to beat at home in Tijuana.

Up Next- Friday, Tijuana vs Santos 10pm and Saturday, Veracruz vs Queretaro 8pm
